About Guntur Medical College
Prof. D. Jagannadha Reddy, the architect of the college
Affectionately known to everyone as “DJ”, he led the college with distinction for about eight years and is remembered as the person who did the most to shape the college as it exists today.
- Built the foundationClinical departments were established and the main building constructed in his time.
- Art & cultureThe statues and paintings on campus were created at his behest.
- An eye for talentHe created a permanent post of Modeler for the young sculptor Bellamkonda Venkateswara Rao.
GMCANA Projects
GMCANA successfully completed the state of the art Podila Prasad - GMCANA Super Speciality and Trauma Centre. With that momentum, GMCANA envisioned another major project at GGH to bring all specialties under one roof.

It all began with a copier in 1994. Since then GMCANA has taken on projects big and small at Guntur Medical College and Government General Hospital, from the GMCANA Auditorium to the Podila-GMCANA Super Speciality Centre.
